升级GrandCentral 到Google Voice . . .
终于等到了Grand Central里的升级通知：
Upgrade to Google Voice
We're happy to announce that your GrandCentral account can now be upgraded to Google Voice.
- In addition to the current GrandCentral features, Google Voice has free voicemail transcriptions, SMS, conference calling, and more.
- You can also use your Google Voice account to make low cost international calls and free calls to anywhere in the United States.
- Your GrandCentral number, forwarding phones and PIN will be moved automatically to Google Voice.
- Please note that all voicemails and call logs will still be available on GrandCentral after you upgrade.
- You will have to re-record your name and greeting and update any custom settings or WebCall buttons after you upgrade.
We hope you enjoy the new features.
升级非常简单而顺利，登录到自己的google account，升级自动进行：

一个非常cool的东西是， google voice的contact和gmail的contact是统一的，和google phone的contact也是自动同步的，这个非常有价值！ 这个功能可能是一个小而杀手级的贴心功能，是未来google的竞争力所在和粘住用户的力量之一。
Voicemail transcript能把语音留言识别成为文字，这个功能很cool, 但效果如何还得实际用一短时间才能感受到。
Google Voice打美国是免费的，打中国 $0.02, Ireland $0.02 (mobile $0.19), 足够便宜，比我现在的Gizmo5要更有竞争力。不过目前似乎不能支持web call, 也不能直接支持SIP终端，因此我还得用Gizmo. Google voice的拨打电话是发出两个呼叫，一个到目的号码，一个到你自己的号码，等于你省却了电话上拨号的麻烦，但仍然用自己的电话接听， 这是有利有弊的。
不出意外地，google voice提供了一个页面的call button, 和我们过去的web800/webphone是类似的，但这应该是flash实现的，而且也是实际上连接两个呼叫的方式，并不是web call.
恰好Gizmo5最近也提供了页面的web call功能，是基于flash实现的, 这是个相当贴心的功能：
总之Google voice是个非常棒的产品，但是还有一些功能值得我期待：
- 支持sip 终端
- 支持web call
- web UI上和gmail进一步集成起来
- 和gtalk进一步集成
